Science has been a passion of Mark’s since his second semester biology professor told him stories of her prior research days. After learning about her exciting and challenging research, he wanted to do everything he could to integrate myself into the world of science- first by volunteering at the UT Health and Science Center in San Antonio, learning how to culture bacteria and perform western blots. Mark has found himself hooked on research since. After that summer, he transferred to Texas A&M and soon joined a Raman Spectroscopy Lab where he focused on diagnostic technology research. Following graduation, Mark took up a role as a quality control analyst but soon found his learning to be stunted and his responsibilities too limited. He then decided to move to Cambridge where his desire for expanding his knowledge and professional responsibilities has been a perfect match with his role at Kernal. Mark is thrilled about the continual opportunities to learn more about the exciting field of mRNA therapeutics and the welcoming team environment.
