Firat is the Managing Partner at Hummingbird, a global early stage fund with $1bn+ AUM, backing outlier founders. Hummingbird biotech portfolio includes Billiontoone, Enveda, Serna Bio, Basecamp Research and Waypoint  as well as Kraken, Deliveroo, Aspire, OneCard, Brigit, Showpad and many others on the tech side. 

Firat received B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Management Science and a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
